I do not agree with some of the Iranian nations laws and customs. But remember our own history society takes time to develope. Remember it was only 50 years ago you had the Little Rock disgrace! He sounds coherent and honest. Considering that the USA overthrew the elected government of a secular Iran in the 70's to install a dictator which was then toppled by the people then attacked his country through thier sponsorship of Saddam in the 80's. I think he is proving pretty dignified.

In theory, he's totally on target. I have not heard a single person from the Bush administration sum up the current world situation so accurately and so eloquently. I also enjoyed his quip about the futility of a world leader who can't control his own faculties attempting to control world affairs. Right on.

I don't know all the sordid details regarding Iran or even the US gov't for that matter; none of us do. Nonetheless, Ahmadinejad came across as an effective and respectful speaker in this case, and he deserves credit for it. Whether he shares our ideals or not, we need to hang up our superiority complex when others reach out to us. Arrogance kills.

He made good points, but in his own country, people can't freely voice their opinions..
that's why many Iranian flee the country, if they can afford it.
