rdangelo ::: Favorites I agree. This part of the movie is actually greatly improved with DSOTM as the soundtrack. It's sad, dreamy music that takes a scary, dreamy scene to new psychological places. 07-07-31 13:31:23 _____________________________________________________
MrF150150 ::: Favorites i think the music goes very well with this song. here are the parts of the video that i thought went with the music; great gig in the sky begins right after dorothy leaves the fortune tellers wagon. at 20 seconds the bass slides in and there is a scene change which goes with the way the bass comes in. 1:24 the band changes chords in time with the scene change 2:24 dorothy gets hits with the window and passes out and the music changes Appropriately, thats what i noticed. 07-07-31 17:36:03 _____________________________________________________
TheVampireEyla ::: Favorites if there's any song that really makes this credible for me, its the great gig in the sky. its freaky how well it goes wit this scene 07-07-31 21:42:54 _____________________________________________________
zonesmuggla ::: Favorites Great special effects for when this came out. 07-08-01 01:49:01 _____________________________________________________

becomethesea ::: Favorites Easily my favorite of the 7 (Any Colour You Like is next up). I agree with the previous comments that the music takes the tornado scene to an entirely different level; it's the juxtaposition of mellow/dreamy/atmospheric music with a scene that is anxious/hellish/loud with the cacophony of a traveling tornado (those who have heard the roar of a tornado in real life know exactly what I mean). Amazing! 07-08-02 03:04:40 _____________________________________________________
monker59 ::: Favorites Cymbal crash when she kicks down the gate! 07-08-03 05:04:37 _____________________________________________________
bmroute18 ::: Favorites It is really cool how the music becomes really light and even more dreamy than it already was right when Dorothy falls asleep...I really do wonder who was the first person to start listening to DSotM when the MGM lion roared for the third time in The Wizard of Oz, that just seems a little weird how they just happen to pick that exact album at that exact place in that exact movie, doesn't it? 07-08-03 21:14:26 _____________________________________________________
bmroute18 ::: Favorites I don't think that's that awfully impressive, there was a cymbal crash about every three seconds. Could have been a coincidence. 07-08-03 21:16:49 _____________________________________________________
zenrarity ::: Favorites They don't count cymbal crashes in seconds when they're performing the music. Measures. They count the crashes in measures. 07-08-05 00:36:11 _____________________________________________________ |
