Description: 27.09.2007 in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma) -At least nine people were feared dead in Burma Thursday as clashes between the military and demonstrators continued after Wednesday's brutal crackdown. Escalating protests in the streets of Rangoon saw a Japanese photo- journalist among the dead - shot near the Sule Pagoda in downtown Yangon. Thousands of ordinary people replaced the monks, many of whom were arrested in overnight raids after Wednesday's violent crackdown on the peaceful protests.
